The secret to KUMFS shoes is the Last. A Last is a moulded plastic form, which contours a shoe into the desired shape. The Last is important because it ensures the length, depth and volume of space available for the foot.

Lasts vary so that different styles for different purposes and feet can be produced. A variety of styles, widths, lengths and depths are shaped by the Last. Each heel height and toe shape needs a different set of Lasts for each size and each width. KUMFS Last’s are designed and developed in New Zealand.
